Copy on your Android. Paste on your Mac.
An address in a chat on your phone, a tracking number, a photo you just copied on the Mac. With The Relay there is one clipboard across both devices: copy on one, paste on the other.

iPhone owners get this free. Now you do too.
“copy content such as text, images, photos, and videos on one Apple device, then paste the content on another Apple device”Needs both devices signed in to the same Apple Account, so an Android phone is left out.
Clipboard sync, both ways. Copy on the phone and paste on the Mac, and the reverse. It carries text, images, and links.
Works with Android 8.0 or later and macOS 13 Ventura or later. Your data travels directly between your phone and your Mac over your local network.
Three steps. Then it just works.
- 1Install on both
Put The Relay on your Android phone and on your Mac. It needs Android 8.0 or later and macOS 13 Ventura or later.
- 2Scan to pair
Open it on both. Scan the QR code on your Mac with your phone. The two are now paired over your own Wi-Fi.
- 3Copy, then paste
Copy something on one device and paste it on the other with the usual paste command. There is no file to send and nothing to email yourself.
What it will not do
- —Both devices need to be on the same local network, or in Bluetooth range. It does not work across the internet when your phone is somewhere else.
- —It syncs what you copy. It does not keep a searchable clipboard history.
- —If all you move is the odd web address, Chrome’s “Send to your devices” does that for free between Chrome on both devices.
People ask
Is there a Universal Clipboard for Android and Mac?
Not from Apple. Universal Clipboard only works between Apple devices on the same Apple Account. The Relay gives an Android phone and a Mac a shared clipboard for text, images, and links.
Does it work both ways?
Yes. Copy on the phone and paste on the Mac, or copy on the Mac and paste on the phone.
Can I copy a photo, not just text?
Yes. The clipboard sync carries images and links as well as text.
Does my clipboard go through a server?
No. What you copy travels directly between your phone and your Mac over your local network. It is not uploaded to The Relay’s servers. See the privacy policy for detail.
